Popsicle Stick Hand Print Flowers
This would make a really cute mother’s day gift, or a great end of year teachers gift, instead of presenting her with flowers that don’t last long, give your kids teacher a bouquet of the entire class hand prints cut out with a cute sentiment on how many lives she “touched” that year. Or, you can put them all in the craft from last week and have a cute popsicle theme vase and flowers. Versatility is a great thing and this craft has it!
You will need:
* 1 1/2 popsicle sticks (if using the can craft as a vase)
* Cut out hand print on colored paper
* Tape
* Green Ribbon
step One:
Trace, color (if desired), and cut out your children’s hand print. I did both of my kids right and left hands, and just for fun I also traced my mutant dog’s paw—I call his finished flower a “dogwood”.
Step Two:
Color or paint the popsicle stick stems green. If you are using the can craft you’ll need to lengthen the sticks a little, this is where the 1/2 stick comes in. Use transparent tape and just tape it together.
You can then tape the cut out hand to the top of the popsicle stick stem.
Step Three:
Tie the ribbon around the popsicle stem, use whatever length you desire—I used approximately 5” (just eyeballed it). And that’s it—you are done, place in whatever holder or use whatever manner of display you desire. Enjoy!
Final Verdict? Great gift giving idea! Sentimental and cute, great for mom, grandma, teacher, babysitter, whoever!
Kid Friendly? Absolutely! Use safety scissors for the littlest kids, along with supervision.
TRieD! And Succeeded!
