Having kids running around means having a bit of whimsy in your life. There is something inherently magical about being a child and seeing fun and adventure through a child’s eyes. This next craft can help any child feel like they are part of a wonderful fairy garden, and they can help create it too!
No kids at home? No reason to stop the whimsy! Use these as plant holders (thanks for the idea Mom!), or a place to set your citronella candles so it’s off the ground, but away from you!

You will need:
* 10” Clay Pot
* 12” Clay Saucer
* Your choice of paint colors, I chose off white and green for an unintentional, but cute Super Mario theme
* Some form of adhesive, I used a spray glue

Step One:
Paint the clay pot the stem color you chose, in this case, off white.

Step Two:
Paint the clay saucer the alternate color, green here—get the kids to help! Boose and Bubby LOVE to paint!

Step Three:
Paint white “dots” scattered around the top to create that mushroom look. Don’t go for perfection, go for whimsy! (How many times can one post say whimsy?)

Step Four:
Adhere the clay saucer to the bottom of the clay pot. This is to make sure the saucer doesn’t fall off while a wiggly child sits on it!
Place in the garden, yard, next to the kids table, or wherever you want it to go, and enjoy!

Final Verdict? Whimsical (I didn’t say whimsy!), cartoonish, and functional, what’s not to love?
Kid Friendly? Let the kids help paint! They can pick out their favorite colors and have their own personalized stool!
TRieD! And Succeeded!
