Musical Maracas
Today is such a Monday! The kids seem wound up and have limited patience and attention span. This calls for a 5 min craft! So, what do I have excess of? Beads, plastic eggs, and plastic silverware from fast food places. Let’s make maracas!
You will need:
* Plastic Egg
* Two spoons or sporks
* Pony beads
* Duct Tape
Step One:
Put beads in the egg, don’t fill it too much. You want a nice music maker without having to shake too hard!
Step Two:
Give your eggs a little shake to make sure the sound is what you are looking for.
Step Three:
Tape the egg between the spoons or sporks with the duct tape. You can go fancy like we did and use two different kinds of duct tape. (That’s right I said “fancy”)
Step Four:
Shake, shake, shake your maracas!
Final Verdict? 5 Min craft! It’s messy, it’s not perfect, but it’s a lot of fun! The kids love it and that’s all that matters!
Kid Friendly? Yes, just offer some general duct tape guidance to make sure it stays together.
TRieD! And Succeeded
