Fall Candle Centerpiece
Entertaining for dinner parties, or gathering families around the table seems to be something that happens often in the fall - so it's a great time of year to have a warm and inviting but simple centerpiece to help dress the table. Use a scented candle to help spread the scents of fall through the house as well for an added touch. I personally got the "Orange Spice" scent from the Christmas Tree Shoppes - seriously one of the best fall scents I've smelled in quite a while. I made three in fall colors, but you can do whatever your space allows - or go with different size mason jars for a tiered look. Did I mention I love the fall? Let's get started!
You Will Need:
* Three mason jars, save the lids for another project!
* Three different color paints (I chose red, brown, and orange)
* Paint Brushes
* String, twine, (or in my case sparkly yarn)
* Candles, either flameless LED or scented
* Faux leaves to use as stencils
Step One:
Paint your jars, holding the leaf and painting over that - remember I'm one who likes imperfections, so if you want crisper lines and a more clean looking leaf, you can choose to get a vinyl leaf cutout and paint over that instead. Allow the jars to dry fully.
Step Two:
Tie the yarn around each jar, however you want it to look.
Step Three:
Add and light (carefully - watch for the yarn) your candles - and enjoy your new fall centerpiece!
Final Verdict? If you like mason jars, candles, and country cottage chic then you'll love this. It probably took me a total of 2 hours from start to finish (including drying time!)
Kid Friendly? Depending on precision - probably not, but if they are great at painting with stencils then possibly!
