Halloween Match Game

For shame! I missed last week's second post! And then I proceeded to miss yesterday! With the kids back to school, things have gotten quite busy! But don't fear! I promise to make up for it - there are plenty more fall treats to be had!

Today's DIY is a great Halloween party idea. This is a way to get the kiddos away from the candy bowl, and is great for solo and team play. Even better, this isn't just for Halloween! Print out any theme you wish and you'll have a great and easy game for the kids to keep them entertained all year around!

You Will Need:

* Computer program such as Microsoft Publisher to create a table and add clip art

* Paper to print

* Colored paper for accents

* Glue stick

* Scissors

* Ruler

Step One:

Use your computer program and create a table with 1.5" square boxes. Then open your clip art program and select themed pictures.

Step Two:

Size the pictures down to fit in the table boxes. I chose to outline each box in black, but you can leave unlined or thinner lines.

Step Three:

Cut out your squares. Be precise.

Step Four:

Measure on your colored accent paper 2x2" squares and cut those out - again be precise.

Step Five:

Glue the pictures to the center of your accent paper. Once dry lay out and play the match game!

Final Verdict? Easy and CHEAP! Great quiet game or great for little kids and Halloween parties! Want a non-candy item to hand out to the kids at school? Here you go!

Kid Friendly? Yes! As you can see above Boose was gluing the pictures to the accent paper. The pictures might not all be centered perfectly, but what matters is that she was able to help and she enjoyed that!

Tried! And Succeeded!
