Ghost Pops

It never fails! The day before a school party and your child "reminds" you (AKA tells you for the first time) that they signed you up to bring in a snack or a treat! This next Halloween hack is perfect for that such scenario! Or, if your school is still allowed to celebrate with candy (sadly my kids' school is not) then this could be a great treat for the kids to share with their friends! (Side note: it's totally fine that the kids can't bring in candy, I'm just the mom that likes to bring in edible treats for special occasions!) My usual helper (Boose) was busy making a Perler Bead project (see: Kids Zone), so I enlisted Bubby to help. This was the perfect involvement/length of time for him, so if any of you mom's out there have an Autistic child who you find it hard to focus, try this little craft - he was so proud of himself once he was done!

You Will Need:

* Small lollipops, like dum dums

* 4 cup white round coffee filters

* Pipe Cleaners

* Marker

Step One:

Cut the pipe cleaners into thirds. This makes a good length "scarf" for the ghost and it also holds the coffee filter in place.

Step Two:

Drape the coffee filter over the lollipop and twist the pipe cleaner around the stem of the lollipop and spread it a little to look like a scarf.

Step Three:

Draw your spooky, funny, silly, happy, or angry ghost face. Bubby decided he wanted happy and surprised mostly.

Step Four:

Pass out to friends (or be like Bubby who picked his favorite one to give to his sister Boose - LOVE), hand out to trick or treaters, and enjoy!

Final Verdict? Took a whopping 5 mins to whip up six ghosts, great for those kids with busy attention spans!

Kid Friendly? Absolutely! Bubby is 4 and he was able to help with everything except the cutting of the pipe cleaners (we are working on his scissor skills with paper only right now).

Tried! And Succeeded!
